Ingredients
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Start by preparing the Brussels sprouts: Trim the ends and slice each sprout in half lengthwise. This allows them to cook evenly and absorb more flavor.
- Set your Instant Pot to Sauté mode. Add the olive oil to the pot and let it heat up for about 1 minute.
- Add minced garlic to the pot and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
- Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the pot. Stir them gently to coat with the garlic-infused oil. Season with salt and black pepper.
- In a small bowl, mix together the balsamic vinegar, honey, and water. Pour this mixture over the Brussels sprouts in the Instant Pot.
- Cancel the Sauté mode and secure the lid on the Instant Pot. Set the valve to the Sealing position. Use the Manual mode to set the Instant Pot to cook at high pressure for 3 minutes.
- Once the cooking time is complete, carefully perform a quick release by turning the valve to Venting. Be cautious of the steam.
- Open the lid and remove the Brussels sprouts from the pot. If you want them more caramelized, set the Instant Pot back to Sauté mode and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the liquid reduces and the sprouts are slightly caramelized.
- Transfer the finished Brussels sprouts to a serving dish. Pour any remaining glaze over them. Serve warm and enjoy your tangy and delicious balsamic Brussels sprouts!
