Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) chicken broth
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Set the Instant Pot to the ‘Sauté’ function. Add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy, about 5 minutes. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the pot.
  2. Add the chopped onion and garlic to the Instant Pot. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  3. Add the chopped cabbage and chicken broth to the pot. Stir to combine.
  4. Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to ‘Manual’ or ‘Pressure Cook’ mode for 5 minutes.
  5. Once the cooking cycle is complete, perform a quick release of the pressure.
