Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450g) kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) smoked paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Set the Instant Pot to the ‘Sauté’ function. Add the sliced kielbasa and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Remove the sausage and set aside.
  2. Add the chopped onion and garlic to the pot. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  3. Add the chopped cabbage, chicken broth, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  4. Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to ‘Manual’ or ‘Pressure Cook’ mode for 5 minutes.
  5. Once the cooking cycle is complete, perform a quick release of the pressure.
  6. Open the lid and stir in the cooked kielbasa. Adjust seasoning if needed.
