Ingredients
- 1 pound (450g) sausage (Italian or your choice), sliced
- 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup (120ml) chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) dried thyme
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Set the Instant Pot to the ‘Sauté’ function. Add the sliced sausage and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Remove the sausage and set aside.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic to the pot. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
- Add the chopped cabbage, chicken broth, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to ‘Manual’ or ‘Pressure Cook’ mode for 5 minutes.
- Once the cooking cycle is complete, perform a quick release of the pressure.
- Open the lid and stir in the cooked sausage. Adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve hot as a main dish.
